A location enhances the connotations of a scene. In Fact, I see the location as one of most important characters in a film script. The location speaks about civilization, culture, people and what not. But it’s all up to a filmmaker to create a required mood at the location.
I have a very special connection with this location. This location not only reminds me of the project executed there but it also alludes to the new revelations which happened at the venue. It’s a saga of meeting people right from getting the location permission to sourcing the location support resources for shoot in the beautiful Pachmarhi valley of Mandhya Pradesh.A shoot floor is a place where you can understand and explore the psychology of people from various departments. Sometimes, bridging the communication gap solves most of the problem.Day 1 of the shoot was a little tough as a team which had come from Bhopal had to closely interact with our Bangalore technical team to set things in place… There was no war of attitude, but there was a communication gap. The language barrier was bridged with a detailed discussion and the two groups agreed upon symbols for the required communication which had to be used during the shoot. As the shoot progressed, our team portrayed more strength & enthusiasm. I was amazed by the support offered by the local people of Pachmarhi, the team which had joined from Bhopal was highly productive & extremely cooperative and I cannot forget the support offered by the Madhya Pradesh Govt for the one week shoot schedule. In short, the entire team rocked !! This is a slice of experience during the making of the film ‘Mareyalaare’.
